    I’m just relieved that the person who drew the swastika didn’t draw a pentagram instead. That’s another religious symbol that has been completely butchered.

    HELLO. THIS SYMBOL LOOKS LIKE A SPIDER AMD AS SUCH SHOULD BE SEEN — A POISONOUS INSECT TO BE DEALT ACCORDINGLY, TOO BAD YOU RELIGIOUS FANS DESTITUTED OF YOUR OWN SPIDERS… TRY A CENTIPEDE, A CRAB OR A CAMELEON INSTEAD…

    PS: You have fat fingers!

    Why would you want to change it? Just because it was stolen?

    Poor reason that somewhat neglects the evil done by the Nazis.

    @pablo
    I don’t think it’s as relevant that the symbol was stolen, but that it was stolen from religious groups. People used that symbol as something that was greater than anything in this world, yet it was stolen by a group of scum bags and had its meaning soiled, quite possibly forever. The evil done by the Nazis should never be forgotten, but the stolen should be returned. Unfortunately, I doubt that the swastika will ever be disassociated with Nazis.

    Is not the religious form in reverse of the nazis form of the swastika?

    @Vaul

    Yeah, the religious one is in reverse of the nazi one, but even so it is not easy to tell them apart. And most people would also identify the reverse ones with the nazis.
    First time I went to Japan and saw the reverse swastika on maps I was really surprised.

    Firstly, why are you calling me a urinal? Who told you? Look, anything consenting adults get up to in private is none of your damn business! capeesh? (sp)

    Now, the swastika thing.

    First, set up a rock group with some really great musicians, then write some world class songs. call your band the “Good Swastiks’s” or something of that ilk. Then, when your band becomes world famous, the swastika will always be associated with good vibes.

    Also, since it was my idea, send a percentage of all the money you make to me.

    Thank you.

    Ya know, I find it amusing, I do believe what the Nazis did during their era was horrible. Yet, you go on about what the Nazis did to the Jews like no other Government has ever prosecuted Jews before?

    Here is a little history lesson for you biased twats… King Edward I managed to kill 260 odd some Jews, they were hung to be exact, for counterfeiting. Then expelling 16,000 Jews from England in 1290.

    How about in 1217… Jews in England were forced, FORCED to wear yellow badges that looked like two stone tablets to indicate they were Jewish.

    How about the time the English executed 100 Jews for an English Christian boy draining in the Jewish district? Why? They they the Jews killed the boy over some wedding ritual.

    All of it is horrible. If you want to remember the facts, don’t be biased and only single out one origination that screwed the Jews. Trust me, there are dozens of countries that denied access to the Jews to their countries. America even sent Jews back to Europe to their deaths.

    @Kyle…
    I don’t think anyone was being biased… It’s just that the Nazis basically had the largest scale of Jewish extermination yet.
    Killing off 260 Jews is nothing compared to the 6+ MILLION (rough number, I’m positive it’s over a million) the Nazis killed… However, you do have a good point that Nazis weren’t the only people who prosecuted Jews, and that that shouldn’t be left out of the equation.

    The Nazi’s did use up many symbols of other religions. some could see the swastika being 2 superimposed “Sowilo” runes (Norse), which roughly equates to our letter “S”. He also used the same runes for the SS uniforms.

    I live in Asia. This symbol is not sullied here. Still means Buddhism, plain and simple, and people wear it with pride. Only has bad meaning in Western Culture. If you are West-centric, then you don’t like this symbol. Here in Thailand, it still means sun and enlightenment…

    So Hitler stole tons of pagan symbols from groups that worshiped the sun, etc. This doesn’t anger me. So what he gave these symbols a bad name that most people will forever remember them by. He also stole something else as his own, soiling its simplicity and beauty forever. Charlie Chaplin’s mustache.

    Well, you bring that up and I just have to say. Jew are not the only group in history to be killed and persecuted.

    Like the russians killed alot of russians back then. That was even more screwed up if you ask me. In a historical view its mindbaffling silly. On a personal level its utterly horrible. All boils down to some douchebag who wants more because he thinks life is hard on him/her.

    Not that the Nazis were the only ones to persecute the Jews, but they did manage to torture, exploit, oppress, and kill a whole lot more than a couple hundred, and it wasn’t by hanging. They were also a lot more recent, and therefore, more relevant to the people of the world today.
